legend - on the front, from top to bottom, printed in ink: "le roy. "; "lovis le ivste treiziesme of the name roy france & of / navarre, son of henry le grand quatriesme of the name / also roy of france & of navarre & of marie de medicis, / & mary of anne of avstriche eldest daughter of philippe troisiesme / king of spain, & of marguerite of austria. / wears two shields joined and joined. The first azure has three golden flowers, two in chief & one in point, which is that of the arms of france / the second of gulls with double gold chains, placed in orle, pal, fess, / band & bar, which is that of the arms of nauarre, which some by mistake blazon, a carbuncle spoke joined and pommeled in gold. / supports, or tenans.
