Honolulu from the kawaiahao church tower with view of ehu's house and the oahu charity school (near center), erected in 1833 and finally torn down in 1874. The charity school occupied the site about where the banyan tree between the judiciary building and the territorial office building now stands. Original daguerreotype by hugo stangenwald around 1853. This copy by ray jerome baker. Date: circa 1853.
