Landscape on a poem by jia dao. Paper, 109x40cm. Dated summer 1840, signed. Seal: white. Represents the first flowering of su renshan's original style. The wash is almost entirely eliminated; all that remains is a linear play of pure lines. This does not lead to any monotony, su renshan subtly alternates in the graphics itself, different ink values, mixing pale lines and sustained lines. Date: 1840.
