iconographic description:
in an interior opened by two arcades in the background, characters dressed in historical costumes take their places. The man in the chair seems disguised according to the fashion of the 17th century (reign of louis xiii), the women in the center according to the fashion of the french 18th century, while the figures in the background, behind the sofa, are more reminiscent of the french renaissance period. One of the women, wearing a pointed magician's hat, speaks, through a tube, into the ear of a woman looking at the spectator and smiling. Mode of acquisition: retrospective registration
