Marianne ehrmann-brentano writer and journalist (1755–1795) ++ alwina gossauer photographer and businesswoman (1841–1926) ++ martha burkhard globetrotter and painter (1874–1956): marianne ehrmann-brentano, handwriting in her letter of september 29, 1789 to johann caspar lavater in zurich, with whom she was in correspondence. In her letter, she describes her difficult life situation to lavater and asks him to promote her magazine to his acquaintances.
