1637 drawing by henry lilly (d. 1638), rouge dragon pursuivant, of stained glass depiction formerly in east winch church, norfolk, of sir william howard (by 1225 – 1308) of east winch and wiggenhall in norfolk, england, a lawyer who became a justice of the court of common pleas. He is the founder and earliest known male-line ancestor of the house of howard (dukes of norfolk). Date: 1637.
