iconographic description:
casimir périer, on a platform supposed to represent the gallery of the chamber of deputies, raises his whip above the heads of numerous dogs on the ground embodying the deputies and ministers. They are visibly docile since they bring back black or white balls, with which the members of the chamber vote. We can recognize lobau and persil in particular. The chamber of deputies is therefore likened to a kennel full of dogs, representing politicians. A dog-headed man shakes a bell next to persil. Person / character represented:
parsley, jean-charles; mouton, georges, count of lobau; périer, casimir
