The interior is coated with turquoise enamel. On the outside, two medallions stand out against a grainy dark blue background punctuated with yellow. The medallions are painted in “famille rose” enamels of figures in a landscape. On the base is inscribed a four-character mark in red enamel in signature writing. Marks, inscriptions, hallmarks: nianhao - 乾隆年製 (chinese writing – seal (zhuanshu)) mode of acquisition: legacy name of donor, testator, seller: cernuschi, henri date of acquisition: 1896 institution: cernuschi museum, museum of asian arts of the city of paris inventory number: m.
