You can't imagine how happy i am to receive mail from you. The weekly review arrived today too. In the meantime i have written to you again, including an airmail letter. Yes, time goes by really quickly; i have been back with my troops for a month now. You can bet that it's pretty quiet here. I was lucky again and am a messenger again like last year. I don't have to go to the trenches anymore; i'm in the bunker all day. I just stand guard for a bit. That's [another small advantage. ]. Date: 1 December 1942.
