Erlangen Bohlenplatz um 1780 001, Johann Jacob Kleemann, circa 1780

Original caption: picture of the german reformed church in erlang, as seen towards the north. The german reformed church, built between 1728 and 1734 at what is now bohlenplatz 1, was considered the most elegant religious building in erlangen. In 1922, the building was bought by the evangelical lutheran church and renamed christ church. In 1953, the church building was converted into a parish hall, but the original interior was destroyed by the installation of a false ceiling. The organ found a new home in the markus church, built between 1954 and 1955 in the sieglitzhof district of erlangen. Date: circa 1780.
