The order of the bar. Satirical illustration mocking hawaii's king kalakaua ("the duke of gynberg") from the "gynberg ballads", a political satire published by alatau t. Atkinson in 1887. According to historian ralph simpson kuykendall, the ballad and illustrations are the works of edward william purvis, a former vice chamberlain in the hawaiian royal court. Date: 1887.
