Kabuki actors as cats performing the okazaki scene in the play 'onoe kikugoro ichidai banashi' (尾上梅寿一代噺) performed at the ichimura theatre in the seventh month of koka 4 (1847), with ichimura uzaemon xii (left) as inaba no suke, onoe kikugoro iii as the ghost of the old cat, and sawamura sojuro v as tamashima itto.
