Historia Septem Infantium de Lara (The story of the seven infants of Lara), Philips Lisaert (III), 1612

A series of 40 etchings after otto van veen, depicting the legend of the infants of lara, who lived in the tenth century, relates how these seven brothers were betrayed by their uncle and slain by the moors but were afterwards avenged by their half-brother, the bastard mudarra, son of the lord of lara and a moorish lady; lettered with numbers throughout the print that correspond to the explanation in the lower margin, in two blocks of lines in spanish and in latin; precededd by a title-page in spanish and latin (antwerpen: philippum lisaert, 1612) etching.
