church of saint-germain l'auxerrois. Gothic architecture. Urban landscape. Place saint-germain l'auxerrois, rue chilperic, rue des prêtres-saint-germain-l'auxerrois, shops, western facade of the church, arcades, rose windows, porch, fresco, flying buttresses, tower, bell tower. Historical commentary:
at the time, the saint-germain l'auxerrois church was still surrounded by buildings and it was only a few years later that a renaissance-style replica (1859) built by hittorff to house the district town hall was added to the north, separated from the church by a neo-gothic belfry tower (1860) built by ballu. The sky of the negative was darkened with a brush, in order to give the image a clear and homogeneous sky. Mode of acquisition: purchase at public sale
