Francis weston

Probably sir francis weston, gentleman of the privy chamber and friend of king henry viii. He was accused of adultery with anne boleyn on trumped-up charges and executed in 1536. The picture bears the weston arms: ermine, on a chief azure 5 bezants with the inscription “weston esq. Of sutton, surrey”, which is why many believe it to be of francis weston.
