Une voie de chemin de fer a deux usages (A da Chunha et Louis Poyet, La Nature, 1899, Vingt-septième année, deuxième semestre, n. 1358 à 1383, p.324) (cropped), Louis Poyet
Dual gauge railway track of the 'chemins de fer du calvados': it was both narrow gauge of 600 mm (1 ft 11+5⁄8 in) and standard gauge of 1435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in) between luc-sur-mer and courseulles-sur-mer, equipped with three rails. The 600 gauge track was little used after 1914/18 for exchanges of equipment between the caen and bayeux networks, as well as a summer trial of a coastal link by crochat railcar, which was only continued for one or two seasons. With the closure of the bayeux group around 1934, the 60 gauge track was no longer used. Date: 1899.
