letter - on the front, at the bottom, from left to right, printed in ink: "abosse in. Et fe. "; "f. L. D. Ciartres excu cum privilegio regis"; "visvs. / la veve. "; "in paris, chez mel. Or tavernier, residing on isle du palais à la sphere. "; "a. Paris at francois l'anglois dit chartres rue st jacques aux colonnes d'hercules against the lyon d'argent".
