Stamp 9 öre 1858. The rarest of the vapentyp penny stamps in stamped condition. Only used on printed material for germany. Two copies, constituting 18 öre local postage, could be put on letters from nearby towns to denmark during the period 1858-1865. The production of the 9-öre denomination ceased as early as 1865. The 9-öre rings oscillate in shades between red-violet and blue-lilac. Berliner blue and crab varnish, a red dye, were included in the paint. Edition: 1,070,200, 9 öre. The marks were produced without a watermark (only in the sheet margins). Invalid for franking from o. M. On december 30, 1910. The stamp in the picture is from the postmuseum's collections.
