Fourth and Olive Streets, Northwest Corner, Stock and Daguerrean Gallery, 1855

Northwest corner of fourth and olive streets showing the stock and daguerrean gallery. The gallery has signs that say "branch of the new york great 25 center picture factory" and "25 cent stock and daguerrean gallery". The porch of the downstairs business bears a sign that reads "porter, white and co. Fancy and staple dry goods". The building next door is labeled "wallpaper", "p. S. Kennard", and "window shades and curtain goods". The business off to the right has a few crates in front of it and a sign which reads "porter and havens". A streetlamp stands at the corner and across the street in the foreground, another commercial structure stands with the supports for a fabric awning.
