Filipescu Vulpea, Anton Chladek, circa 1830

Alecu (alexandru) filpescu, known as vulpea ("the fox"), who was wallachia's minister of finance in 1828, failed candidate for the throne in 1842, and great ban from 1843. He was also the stepfather and personal rival of prince alexandru ii ghica, having married his mother, maria ghica-hangerli. Date: circa 1830.
