Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 246, 17 April 1917

246. Cross - tombstone, in the yard of the church "st. Georgi" in the city of ruse. Carved from limestone tuff between 1840-1850, when the church was built. Four-winged; its upper wing [is] broken, it was trapezoidal; the side ones are small and square. On its face is carved a four-winged cross with wings expanding outward; the side ones are larger than the vertical ones; a compass is carved next to the cross - a sign that it is buried under the monument stonemason or carpenter. Dimensions: 47x38x16 cm. Sketched on 17. Iv. 1917. (vol. 6, obr. 7. ). Date: 17 April 1917.
