Full-page advertisement for the hannoversche bank, designed by graphic artist änne koken, in the form of a multi-colored poster print in almost a3 format on the page numbered with the roman numeral ii of the special issue of number 3538, "136th volume" with the title cultural images from germany iv: hanover and border areas, from april 20, 1911, created from a cooperation between the iillustrirten zeitung and the hannoverscher anzeiger. The image shows the hannoversche bank building, built between 1898 and 1900 by the architect karl börgemann and with architectural sculptures by the architect and sculptor rummel in the french late gothic style, which is unusual for bank buildings, at the (current) address georgsplatz 20 on the corner of georgstrasse and opernplatz. In the lower half of the picture, a multi-storey "steel chamber (view of the safe)" filled with people can be seen, to the right and left of it is the text "branches in celle, hameln, harburg, ade (?), lüneburg, verden, depositenkasse linden near hanover" and "share capital 30,000,000 marks, banking transactions of all kinds". The sheet, which was later scanned at 600dpi, is part of the newspaper purchased for documentation purposes on december 8, 2014 and was donated to the gottfried wilhelm leibniz library - lower saxony state library, for the attention of director georg ruppelt, on the morning of the following day. However, thanks to the friends of hanover, the scan was carried out later in the wikipedia office in hanover, after the rusting staples of the newspaper had been carefully removed so that the newspaper could be placed flat on the scanner. The digital copy was subsequently electronically trimmed at the page edges for optical reasons and slightly brighter contrast. Since the magazine has probably not been stored in a dry place for the last hundred years, slight discoloration has formed on the opposite side. Date: 20 April 1911.
