Scene circa late 1791 – early 1792 depicts a large tank just outside of sriperumbudur, which is today called the chembarambakkam tank. Sriperumbudur, which is roughly thirty kilometres inland from chennai (madras), is best known as the birthplace of the 11th century vaishnava philosopher, ramanuja. Iconographic collections
