the relief effect on this daguerreotype which has not been straightened (inverted view) is very important. We can speak here of a hyperstereoscopic effect. Duboscq in his patent nº13069 of february 16, 1852 (add. Certificate) explicitly describes his practice "taking successively from the same distance with a single daguerreotype and from equal angles two images of the statue, the bas-relief, the group, the landscape, etc. , or two portraits of the same person".
