"Christiane Princess of Zweibrücken-Birkenfeld", Conrad von Mannlich, between 1710 and 1740

So-called portrait of countess palatine christiane henriette of zweibrücken (1725-1816), but is probably a depiction of her mother caroline of nassau-saarbrücken (1704-1774) identification proposed by user ecummenic (talk) based on the comparison with some portraits of caroline of nassau (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this portrait to other representations of christiane of zweibrücken. Object Type: painting. Date: between 1710 and 1740. Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Arolsen Castle. Mannlich - So-called portrait of Christiane of Zweibrücken - Residenzschloss Arolsen
