To this is attached a pipe from which louis-philippe drinks, seated on a bench. The contents of the vat, digested by the king, are then swallowed by the various government ministers (we can recognize baron louis and casimir périer on the 2nd bench, keratry and barthe on the 3rd) and finally by the people, located at the end of the chain. The diameter of the pipe becomes smaller as it moves towards the latter. A trapdoor raised in the foreground by a personification of "the caricature" reveals that a second pipe starting from the king's bench is intended to supply the secret funds.
