Print includes two scenes: storming fort fisher--troops landing from the transports, covered by the naval vessels (14 3/16 x 4 11/16), showing troops being landed on shore by transports a few miles above fort fisher and a line of ships readying for naval assault on the fort; and storming fort fisher--advance of skirmishers on the fort (14 3/16 x 4 5/8), showing naval bombardment taking its toll on the fort and union skirmishers advancing to fort just prior to land assault.
