Many men and some horses with a wagon stand near the st. Louis levee in a view looking south from mullanphy street. Peter lindell's stone quarry is on the left and roy's mill is on the right. Piles of stones can be seen on the left side of the image, and many steamers are lined up along the levee. Inscribed into the bottom-left corner are the words "peter lindell's stone quarry, st.
