Anna Petrovna of Russia, Louis Caravaque, 1725

Anna Petrovna of Russia, Louis Caravaque, 1725

She is depicted in a white brocade dress, with a mantle draped over her shoulder, woven with gold and lined with ermine. On the chest of the princess is a star and ribbon of the order of the holy great martyr catherine. The portrait leaves the impression that the princess's figure was painted not from life, but from a mannequin. A copy of the portrait by an unknown artist of the first half of the 18th century is in the ostankino estate museum. Object Type: painting. Date: 1725. Dimensions: height: 91.2 cm (35.9 in); width: 73.4 cm (28.8 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Tretyakov Gallery. Anna Petrovna of Russia by L.Caravaque (1725, Tretyakov gallery)
