Description oosterpark
a disappeared part of the pond near 's gravesandestraat, where a children's playground is now located. This piece of pond served as a discharge for the water from the pond in the park and flowed through a sewer under the street to the city sewer. This part was teeming with rats and was therefore also called the 'rat pool' by local residents, also because the end point of this water feature was very polluted and muddy. However, in spring and autumn this part of the park was very beautiful. Document type: photo
