The View from the Batavian Embassy in Paris, Joseph August Knip, 1801

Rutger jan schimmelpenninck, the dutch ambassador in paris, commissioned knip to make a series of paint-ings of the batavian embassy, the hôtel de beauharnais. This is the view from the embassy, looking at the palais des tuileries. Object Type: painting. Genre: landscape painting. Date: 1801. Dimensions: height: 97 cm (38.1 in); width: 129.5 cm (50.9 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Rijksmuseum.
