The ship was built by samuel owen of stockholm in 1841 as the samuel owen. Changed hands a number of times until 1844, when she was sold to owners in norrköping and renamed as the l'aigle. In 1849 sold to malmö ångbåts a/b and named the öresund. In 1850 bought by the danish state and renamed to øresund. In 1853 sold to h. P. Prior of copenhagen. Name changed to lille belt in 1854 and to ceres in 1856. Sold to russian owners in 1858. Jmarcussen. Dk (in danish). Object Type: painting. Date: between 1850 and 1875.
