The inscription indicates that this was a gift for michael ancher's niece sigrid, daughter of his borther richard and marie bolt. Sigrid was born in 1895 and celebrated her confirmation in the autumn of 1910. Richard ancher wrote from bornholm to the anchers on september 25 and invited them to come.
