Finished drawing for pl 10 of "industry and idleness" (1747), "the industrious 'prentice alderman of london, the idle one brought before him & impeach'd by his accomplice"; interior of magistrate's office with panelling on l, within bar goodchild seated turned away from prisoner, also clerk receiving bribe from the prostitute in crowd behind bar, which includes idle with hands bound, his tearful mother, and his accomplice pen and brown ink, with grey and brown wash, over graphite, indented for transfer verso: powdered grey chalk.
