the truncated letter of this copy does not allow us to know whether it is the version printed by lemercier and announced by the "bibliographie de la france", on july 16, 1831, under the "no. 609 -- the steering wheel. -- the good mother. Fifth delivery, n. 3, by {dévéria}. Imp. Lith. From {lemercier}, in paris. In paris, at {aumont}, rue j. -j. -rousseau, n. 10. ” the letter differs in any case from the version published by motte for its french and english market (see mvhpe0663).
