The woman was previously identified as eleanor brandon, later eleanor clifford, countess of cumberland, the daughter of charles brandon, 1st duke of suffolk, and mary tudor, the former queen consort of france. Eleanor brandon was wife of henry clifford, 1st earl of cumberland. However, the drawing is simply entitled an unidentified woman on the website of the royal collection. Date: circa 1532–1543.. Dimensions: height: 27.4 cm (10.7 in); width: 20.1 cm (7.9 in).. Medium: black and coloured chalks, paper, pen and ink. Collection: Royal Library, Windsor Castle..
