Pensioned in rome by the provincial council of alicante in 1891, cabrera painted this young and sleepy bacchus. From italian classicism he takes the mythological theme and the study of anatomy. The idea of beauty is resolved with soft colors, sinuous lines and quality in the execution of the objects. The goat that tops the bench could be a kind of signature in allusion to his last name.
