Lavrentiy Hotsyatovskiy by P. Drozhdin (1765, Sergiev Posad), Petr Drozhdin, 1765

One of the earliest works by a. P. Antropov's student pyotr drozhzhin, who apparently began his creative career in the trinity lavra of st. Sergius, where he studied with the lavra painter p. Kazanovich, is also connected with the lavra collection. The portrait of archimandrite lavrenty khotsyatovsky (fig. 10) was painted in 1765, when drozhzhin was antropov's student. Date: 1765.
