" the magazine was published from 189 by the company chr. Harbers, special house for photography. The magazine, edited by the graphic artist, photographer and university lecturer at the royal academy of graphic arts and book trade georg aarland, first appeared in 1896; the pages of the individual issues (documented up to 1901) have been numbered continuously since the first edition. The numbers on the edge of the respective pages serve as order numbers for the individually presented, often illustrated products. Date: 1 June 1897.
