B26056134E - Das eyland Baly oder klein Java, Jakob van der Schley, 1750

This is the dutch version of jacques bellin's map of bali with inset showing the king's palace (grundriß von einem koeniglichen pallaste) and a stupa. The island of java is shown to the right and lombok to the left and it features a banner style title cartouche. Engraved by jacob van schley, the map is based on lodewijcksz's map of bali first published in historie van indien in 1598. Date: 1750.
