I was really surprised that it came so quickly and then the contents! the longed-for swimming trunks, the bakery and tobacco and cigarettes. Yes, tell me, mum, where did you get the tobacco from under the table again and how much did it cost? thank you again from the bottom of my heart! have you already received my letter that i gave to the holidaymakers? i hope you weren't too shocked because it's really nothing worth mentioning. I'm not in any pain at all and i feel really good. Date: 5 June 1944.
