Square box with convex sides and a slightly convex lid; provided with gold-plated copper on the inside. On the sides and the lid three flowers are painted in gold makie on a black ground; golden contour lines surround the edges of the sides. Probably intended for incense ash (ju-kogo). Label line: anonymous, 1700 - 1800, lacquer. Date: between 1700 and 1800. Place of creation: Japan. Dimensions: Height: 6 cm (2.3 in) Lengte: 6.5 cm (2.5 in) Width: 6.5 cm (2.5 in). Medium: copper, gold, lacquer, wood. Collection: Rijksmuseum.
