The Sigrid at Egedesminde, Greenland., Emanuel Petersen, between 1921 and 1948
Petersen first visited greenland in 1921. Egedesminde is now known as aasiaat. The sigrid was built in sweden in 1907/1908 as a schooner with a diesel engine. She was sold in 1909 to j. Møller of mariager, denmark and was then employed by the dania factory near mariager. In 1912 she was sold to ib nyboe of copenhagen. In 1918 she was sold to grønlands minedrifts-a/s of copenhagen and made travels to greenland. In 1923 she was sold to styrelsen for kolonierne i grønland (the colonial administration of greenland), also in copenhagen. In 1948 her name was changed to sælen.
