Engravings after drawings as well as maps were to accompany this multi-volume series which was never completed. In 1789, twenty-nine engraved plates from saint-aubin's drawings illustrated a more modest roman history. Date: circa 1763. Dimensions: height: 21.5 cm (8.4 in); width: 39.6 cm (15.5 in). Medium: black chalk, brown ink, gouache, pen, watercolor.
