Stamp 3 öre 1863, from the postmuseum's collections. Mainly used for local letters. In paris, sparre created a new engraving for the three penny mark in 1863 (type ii). It is similar to his first, heavily criticized engraving type i. But it is cleaner and clearer in the details and was approved by the postal board in stockholm. The printing plates were produced for all lion denominations in paris. The finished plates were then sent up to stockholm where the actual printing was taken care of by sparre's deputy georg scheutz. Edition: 10,452,100, 3 öre type ii. The marks were produced without a watermark (only in the sheet margins). Invalid for franking from o. M. On december 30, 1910. Date: 1863.
