By 1875, the theater building at the corner of kerepesi út and országút (today rákóczi út and múzeum körút) was significantly enlarged based on the plans of antal szkalnitzky, an additional floor was added, and a four-story apartment building containing theater workshops and actors' apartments was added. The theater building is wedged between the pannónia hostel on rákóczi út and the apartment building overlooking the múzeum boulevard. It was closed in 1908 and demolished in 1913.
