An Old Cambridge Swan Driving The Team to the Poll Or an Old Swan Turned Goose, George Cruikshank, 1832

A cart lettered with the names of cambridge political candidates and "fly van", a swan, a scholar seated on a sack of wool and a monkey riding on the back of the cart, a team of electors harnessed as horses and drawing the vehicle along, two geese, one a tory and the other a whig, shouting political slogans, students and academics behind the cart with their hats in their hands; (1832) hand-coloured lithograph.
