The meal scales, built in 1438, is a detached building which contained the meal and malt scales. Its ground floor temporarily served as a guardroom as well as a space for little shops within; it also was used as the fire engine house of the 11th quarter. In 1715 the meal scales was built anew. The first floor was used as a debtor's prison in former times and contained a dwelling place for the warden. In the picture a part of the „fürsteneck“ can be seen as well. Date: circa 1896.
