According to a note written by dr. José de figueiredo in book 1 of the correspondence entry, the six paintings that form the altarpiece known as santos-o-novo, were in the lower choir of the church of the respective monastery in 1911, the date of the group's entry into the museu das janelas verdes. The aforementioned document is now partially transcribed (page 6): "on the 22nd of this year (august 1911) the director of the museum at the recolhimento de santos-o-novo received several objects existing there, by virtue of the order of the ex. Mo minister of justice. These objects, handed over to the director in the presence of two members of the jurisdictional commission of extinct congregations, are: 6 wooden paintings from the 16th century school of lisbon, representing respectively the «annunciation», «nativity», «adoration of the magi», «christ in the garden», «burial of christ» and «resurrection of christ» and were in the lower choir of the aforementioned church;. .
