My dear mum! greetings from my heart again. Today is already a week since i've been here at the main dressing station. I've just come back from being bandaged; the cut looks very good. I'll probably be back with my company soon. I'm doing very well so far; i've got a good appetite; the only thing i'm missing is the mail! my unit will probably keep it; i hope they don't send the mail back again. Well, i'm looking forward to getting all the letters when i get back. I can get up now and go for a walk in the little [russian filth]. Date: 22 March 1943.
